  I have a mobility impediment & one day the police come & are knocking hard. I do my best to get there quickly, which they then ask that I put up my dogs & ask for me to open the door fully. I wasn't dressed for company. With as loud and hard as they were knocking on my door I was afraid they would kick it in before I could get to the door. I even asked what would happen if they were to break my door. Their response was you won't get in trouble. I may however be standing near the door as it breaks down or my dogs try to protect me. Each of these isn't a good idea. After calling the police station after this ordeal was over I learned: The police aren't responsible for replacing it repairing my door! I wouldn't "get in trouble for not answering fast enough" however i need to fix my door ASAP and worry that my dogs will be injured or killed for protecting me and their home I put the dog up and clothes on only find they have the wrong house. They then ask me to come outside and point out the correct house to them. I say this makes me uncomfortable because the neighbors can see me pointing and I don't want to be put in a vulnerable position. I even called the station later to see if my home could be labeled as having a disabled occupant to prevent the aforementioned issues. That isn't allowed so I'm left to my own devices. I feel very served and protected ***sigh***
